The SG_V1.01 may also drop from both Naksud, the Famine and Bok Litur, Hunger of Xol, though it should be noted that they also have a chance of dropping the IKELOS Hand Cannon and the Sniper Rifle. Nur Abath, Crest of Xol has a chance to drop the shotgun, and only the shotgun. Luckily, the shotgun can drop from multiple different variations of the boss. How to get it: The IKELOS family of weapons, which includes the SG_V1.01, only drop from the final boss in Level 7 of Escalation Protocol, and even then, it’s not guaranteed. This perk drastically increases damage for a short time after performing a melee attack, and, combined with its Rapid-Fire Frame, makes the IKELOS the perfect joint for all of your PvE needs. Why it’s Awesome: Introduced in the Warmind expansion, the IKELOS_SG_V1.01 quickly became the go-to shotgun for PvE or one reason and one reason only: Trench Barrel. Ever since shotguns got moved from the Heavy slot, they’ve just about dominated the Crucible meta.Long-range slug shotguns like the Chaperone and Dust Rock Blues are everywhere in Crucible, and high DPS, short range shotguns like Perfect Paradox are godsends for PVE. Shotguns are useful for everything from raids to Strikes to Lost Sectors, and are even nice companions for wandering the worlds and thinking about simpler times, reminiscing about Cayde-6 andwizards and moons and Emmy Award Winning Actor Peter Dinklage. Without further ado and in no particular order, here are the top 10 shotguns in Destiny 2: 1. You'll either headshot them before their shot is in range, or body them and trade. Shoot early and follow up with an immediate melee. *NB if someone is sliding you, they definitely have a shotgun. ![]() Double paragon mods, double mobility, one ordinance. OEM w/ precision targeting, shotgun loader and shotgun scavenger, light arms flinch, enhanced bomber legs, shotgun scavenger mark. Once you get that roadborn up, go hunting. I normally wouldn't make a big deal out of this point, but as a titan, I am shooting stuff out of the sky A LOT. Only in this case your reticle stays still but your target is moving. I think it's a bit like how good snipers flick or drag their shots - to compensate for lag, if there's movement a crit will register on a line vs. With a falling target, if you aim for the throat it's a lot more consistent. As others here have said, you usually want to ads and aim for the forehead. ![]() Stay just out of range and hit them as they fall. So most hunters will jump over your barricade with a shotgun, or jump around corners at you. Comp is like 75% hunters, and they know their biggest asset is the vertical game. So I push and duel with Luna, but if I have to hold a point (and running a support class, that's a lot), Chappy is a DEVASTATING defensive weapon. You really need headshots - trying to two tap with it takes too long for the follow up. I know that leaves me lacking in range, and Luna and Chappie kind of overlap, but it's very hard to push with the Chap until Roadborn is active. I run middle sentinel with Luna (or a pulse) and OEM. Chaperone is my favorite weapon, but it only shines in specific instances - namely when you're getting pushed.
